Teach Your Horse How to Paint

Sandra and her horses share a creative passion.

Sandra has been an artist since she first fell in love with horses as a child. She never imagined that one day she would be painting with them! She used her trick training skills to teach her Friesian gelding Douwe how to paint back in 2019. As he was getting older he could no longer perform under saddle so painting was a great way to spend valuable time together.

Douwe was very smart and goofy, he loved to make people laugh and was painting up until the day he died. After grieving his loss Sandra began working with her Lipizzaner cross gelding Rovandio. It took him longer to learn but his artistic skills are improving by leaps and bounds!
